About This Project

As I turned my lens to light fixtures, I found it interesting to consider the lamp as an object when it wasn’t serving its primary function of illumination.  Instead, it forms another element of the fabric of the built environment.

I felt these images worked well as a diptych and balanced a quasi-religious significance that might be otherwise inferred within them.

Structural Abscission Series

This is another work in my Structural Abscission series of photographs.  Structural Abscission is my method of taking abstract photographs of the urban environment that cuts out, pulls away or abscises the context surrounding the subject and hopefully captures the subliminal, emotional or philosophical impact of the fabric of the city on the viewer.
